Notre Dame Students excel at Table Tennis. Daniel Adams (Mens Singles), Chloe Scott-Mearns and Kut Ming Cheung (Mixed Doubles) have qualified to represent the North East region at the British Colleges of Sport National Finals in Loughborough. The event is the follow up tournament to the regional competition that took place in December. Our top three students will be competing against the best table tennis players from the nine regions of the UK. This is a great opportunity for them to experience a major sports festival, and to compete for the Wilkinson Sword Trophy (which is awarded to the winning region)..
Notre Dame has an excellent track record at the National Championships, with last year’s participants gaining bronze medal positions in the Men’s and Women’s 5-a-side competition and a silver medal in the Men’s Singles Tennis (Daniel Regan), Daniel has since gone onto a Tennis Scholarship programme in the United States.
