Hello theređź‘‹
Achievement Tutors
The Achievement Support Tutors provide you with bespoke support which will challenge you to be the best that you can be. Throughout high school, students are typically supported by a form tutor, mentor or a Head of Year. At Notre Dame Catholic Sixth Form College, we have Achievement Tutors. These staff deliver our highly regarded tutorial programme and offer tailored support for your whole time with us. Tutorial is a one-hour timetabled session for students to spend with their Achievement Tutor. They provide help sessions such as career development, including introduction to UCAS with relevant support and personal statements, and developing and educating the whole person through topics such as life skills and current affairs.
Achievement Tutors will motivate, guide and challenge you by helping you set and review clear and attainable targets and ensure you work towards becoming a well-rounded individual in every aspect of your life. They are there as your main point of contact; they will monitor and review your progress through attendance, punctuality and your attitude to learning scores through CEDAR. Your Achievement Tutor is someone who will help signpost you to our numerous enrichment and careers opportunities to ensure your individual learning plan is as full as possible and you have the best opportunities for progression. They are also the people who can signpost you to more specific support across college. Working under the guidance of the Head of Students and a Senior Tutor, the Achievement Tutors provide support, guidance and encouragement to help all pupils reach their full potential.
