What do I need to study this course?
You will need a grade 4 in English Language and successful completion of an audition to assess suitability. Information about the audition process will be provided at interview.
What will I study?
Musical Theatre continues to be one of the most popular of the theatre art forms. As a Musical Theatre student you will focus on the ‘triple threat’ skillset; singing, acting and dancing and experience how these merge together to tell a story to the audience. You will study different genres of musical theatre and learn about the different styles that make up this exciting art form. You will also perform different roles in musical theatre forming part of an ensemble as well as different types of principal roles.
What next?
This course will help you prepare for a career in the musical theatre industry, with a foundation in the skills required to undertake professional training at university or an accredited drama school. All assessments are designed to be vocational, which means your lessons will reflect how you would work professionally as a performer.
