Katherine White, a barrister from St John's Buildings in Sheffield visited college yesterday to mentor students taking part in the upcoming Bar Mock Trial competition later this month. Students, acting as barristers and witnesses, rehearsed in our mock courtroom and Katherine gave insightful feedback to students, drawing on her extensive knowledge as a criminal barrister and as a former regional winner of the competition! Katherine also gave students an inspirational insight into her background and work as a barrister. Her top advocacy tips will come in very useful for the students in the upcoming competition.
