British Biology Olympiad 2025

The British Biology Olympiad is an advanced problem-solving competition for A-level students. It sets to challenge those interested in Biology to build on their existing talents through topics and ideas that go beyond their A-level syllabus, therefore testing their problem-solving and understanding of core principles. Students take two multiple choice papers and this Olympiad was open to both Lower and Upper Sixth students.

Our students this year achieved a fantastic set of results, higher than ever before! Out of 18,533 participants, 63 students from Notre Dame took part, with 2 students earning gold awards - Bettina Cahlig and Kira Devine, who were in the top 5% of participants, an incredible achievement! We also had 7 students achieve silver, 8 bronze, 13 highly commended, and 8 commended students.

Well done to all those who entered.
