Visitors to Notre Dame’s recent CTEC Design exhibition were blown away by the quality of work on display.
Our Architecture and Interior Design students set up their stands in the Corn Exchange ready for the exhibition to run across 17 and 18 June. Members of the public viewed the students’ scale models and promotional graphics, all created in response to a brief asking them to design a pop-up venue to promote local independent traders.
Comments written in the visitors book over the two-day event included, “You’re all brilliant! To have created such amazing designs in a pandemic is testament to your talent. Best of luck for the future. I can’t wait to one day be in a structure you’ve designed!” and “Once again, further education students prove the worth of this level of education. This is excellent work. It’s wonderful to see their talent and commitment. The teachers should be proud of the students, and they themselves are first class educators.” This second quote was from a professional designer, who’s completed a PHD within the field.
