2 weeks ago, Helen McGuinty, a teacher in the drama department, delivered a workshop to Year 10 Acting and Dance students at Carr manor School. She recieved lovely feedback from the Head of Department and the Senior Leadership Team about the positive 'buzz' in the session and the confidence it helped to instil in their work. Helen took an ex-student from Notre Dame, Tyler Pickles, as an excellent example of what Notre Dame alumni can achieve - he has just finished filming a Channel 4 drama, so was an inspiration to the Year 10s.
The pair then returned to college where Tyler led a further workshop to our own students about working in the industry. Helen said, 'I was so proud to see his confidence and professionalism, as well as hearing all of his achievements!'
