Exploring the Reformation Period Through the Chapel

Lower Sixth A-level Historians visited the Chapel last week to gain an understanding of the key features of a Catholic church as part of their A-level studies of the Tudor Reformation. Lay Chaplain, Anne Merry, gave the students a guided tour and explained key architectural features typically seen in a Catholic church prior to the Reformation, including stained glass windows and statues.

One student commented 'The Chapel visit was very interesting and educational as we got the learn about the history of the Chapel and the influences that shaped it'.

We're lucky at Notre Dame to have such fantastic facilities that can provide students with a deeper understanding and connection to their studies and topics - however long ago!
