Today is the feast of Our Lady of Gudalupe. It is a feast linked to the foundresses of the Notre Dame order as a medal with this image was given to them on the day the order was founded, February 2nd 1804. Each leader of the order still wears this medal.
Mary in the picture wears a blue cloak - as Stella Maris - star of the sea, a guide to how to live the virtues.
