During the last week of the half term the History and Politics department held a German picnic at lunchtime for the students who are going to Berlin in July. It gave the students a chance to get to know each other, practice some key German phrases that will be useful for the trip, and taste some German delicacies such as Spezi (a German soft drink), Bienenstich (a sweet cake) and Versunkener Apfelkuchen (an apple cake).
We're all looking forward to see what they get up to on the trip!
