Six lower sixth students from A Level History are taking part in the holocaust Educational Trust Project - 'Lessons from Auschwitz'. This project includes online seminars with Holocaust survivors and a one day trip to Auschwitz. The students went to Poland on the 1st May this year and were taken on a guided tour of the camp. They reflect on their experiences -
'For me, the trip was extremely impactful and emotional. Only by witnessing the Auschwitz Birkenau Camps first hand was I able to visualise the atrocities that occurred during the Holocaust' - Ben Terry
'I thought that the day was a really good experience, and one that I would encourage everyone remotely interested in to pursue' - Erin Bray
The students are now working on a presentation that collates what they have learnt.
