Internship Opportunities for Students

Simon Wilkes and Matt Dudley, representatives from SIP Media Solutions, visited the college on Wednesday 2nd April to deliver a talk to students on their internship scheme. SIP has been running placements since 2001, creating a pathway to full-time or freelance employment for aspiring content creators and journalists. Working with partners such a Leeds Trinity University and Emerson College in the USA, students can sign up to create short form content and articles for their various news sites including Film News Blitz, Sports News Blitz, and Music News Blitz.

Matt is a recent graduate at Trinity University and spoke to students about how his internship with SIP Media has helped him progress in his career. After creating a multitude of articles and video content for SIP’s news website Sports News Blitz, he has secured a freelance social media content creation role at BBC Sport in Nottingham.

If any students are interested in a career in journalism or content creation and would like to register their interest for an internship with SIP Media, please speak to careers.
