40 Notre Dame students have returned from a busy four-day visit to Italy where they experienced the history, culture and geography of the Bay of Naples - as well as plenty of pizza, pasta and ice cream!
Based in the coastal town of Castellammare di Stabia, students visited the archaeological sites of Pompeii and Herculaneum, climbed to the top of Mount Vesuvius, and visited the picturesque Isle of Capri as well as the atmospheric town of Sorrento.
Trip Leader Lisa Hotchkin commented that 'As a Geography teacher I find the area fascinating. However, the trip is not just open to geography students but any students who wants to experience this quite amazing area and its very special places. I look forward to repeating the trip in Summer 2005'.
