Team ND’s Men’s Basketball played a hard-fought game on Wednesday February 2 versus a talented John Leggott College Wolves team. After a tightly contested first quarter, Notre Dame swung momentum in their favour with tremendous defence and excellent teamwork. With enthusiastic contributions from the whole team, a dominant second half resulted in a win for Team ND; 66-49.
Ten players made it on the scoresheet, exemplifying our values of confidence, attitude, and determination. Notable performances by Frederick Amponsah, who scored a game-high 22 points, and John Amoda (17 points) were integral for Team ND’s success. Ryan Salas (pictured above) took the Man of the Match honours with his leadership and defensive prowess. He remarked: "I'm just thankful for my teammates who all contributed; it was a team effort which showed in the results. We had a great performance, and this is just a sign of things to come."
We are back in the gym preparing for our next match versus a tough Sheffield team.
Let’s go Notre!
