This week Lower Sixth student, Syreka Miller, had an interview on Channel 4 news from their Leeds Studio, regarding the recent story about the potential ban on phones for school aged children. Following a trip to Channel 4 studios the week before, the Media department received a request from the producer on the morning of the broadcast and selected Syreka due to her excellent questions during the visit.
Syreka had to act very quickly to get in touch with the producer and, as a result, the interview was organised swiftly. When interviewed by experienced TV news presenter, Jackie Long, Syreka came across as composed, calm, articulate and professional. She did herself and Notre Dame proud.
