After a two-year absence, Notre Dame’s annual Careers Fair made a triumphant return on February 16. The event proved to be our most well attended careers fair to date, with a constant stream of enthusiastic students keeping our 32 exhibitors busy.
Stallholders included Leeds Apprenticeship Hub, Appris, JBS Consulting, the EY Foundation, RSM, Morrisons, NHS Bradford Royal Infirmary, Leeds Galleries & Museums, Jet2, Lap Corp, NCS, and the West Yorkshire Police.
Many employers commented on the politeness and maturity of our students, their genuine interest in finding out what each company offered, and their focused and engaging questions. The Careers Fair provided an excellent opportunity for students to find out about a wide variety of career opportunities, work experience or volunteering, apprenticeships, school leaver programmes, part-time work, and gap year projects. Our students eagerly explored their options, some spending more than an hour speaking to stallholders, as this was the first such event they’d had access to since early 2020.
