Notre Dame Choir Become Radio Stars

Last week the Notre Dame Choir had the opportunity to be part of the BBC Radio 4 – Sunday Worship programme recording which will be broadcast for Pentecost on June 8^th.

 Accompanied by Lay Chaplain, Anne Merry, they joined with young people from across the Diocese of Leeds to create a Massed Choir celebrating the Jubilee Year of Hope. With over 600 young people present the sound was phenomenal with the Jubilee hymn ending the recording on a high!

 Students said of the event ‘it was an awesome choir day’ and ‘a joyous experience, it was great to see everyone singing together’. One student noted how they ‘didn't expect it to sound so good!’ and that ‘it was a beautiful, harmonious moment.’

 Once the choirs had finished for the day it was the turn of the Readers with Notre Dame student Connie, reading her reflection on Life as a Pilgrimage.
