Notre Dame Day 2025

On Sunday 2nd February is the Feast Day of the Congregation of the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur, when St Julie Billiart and her two companions chose to dedicate their lives to the education of poor children. Here at Notre Dame Catholic Sixth Form Sixth Form College, we celebrated Notre Dame day on Monday and Tuesday of this week.

To celebrate, on Monday and Tuesday, we had free porridge available for staff and students - particularly nice for those cold February mornings!

Everyone was encouraged to get involved in the ND Day Challenge, which involved a historical exploration through the college with selfie challenges at key points. The winning team with the best pictures won a £30 voucher. Check out some of the best shots below!

On Tuesday, staff and students flooded the college with shades of blue, the colour of Notre Dame. We also held a samosa sale for staff, raising money for the student chosen charities - Motor Neurone Disease Association, Leeds Children's Hospital, and St George's Crypt.

After college, we hosted a Notre Dame Day Mass in the Chapel, to reflect on our past, present and future, and celebrate the work of St Julie.
