On Friday 12th July we bade farewell to our Director of Catholic Life, Catherine Herring, after 16 years of service to the students and staff of Notre Dame. In recognition of her contribution to the diocese both in schools and in her local parish at St Wilfrid's in Ripon, Bishop Marcus Stock awarded Catherine the Diocesan Silver Medal. Justine Barlow presented the medal during a Liturgy of Thanksgiving for staff, where the Notre Dame community came together to give thanks for the academic year that has gone, and to pray for all students and staff who are moving on.
Catherine has moved away from Notre Dame and Leeds, returning South to her family. She has taken a position in a Catholic secondary school and we wish her well and blessing for her next chapter.
