On Tuesday, lower and upper sixth Education and Early Years T Level students visited Tropical World in Roundhay to look at learning opportunities for young children. After exploring all it had to offer including the animals, the group had a picnic in the park and a game of rounders. For this, the group had to complete a risk assessment, which links to the content of the course.
Daisy-Leigh, U6 student, said 'The trip gave me really good ideas that I can use on my course to make educational opportunities for the children on my placement', and Evie reflected on the day, 'I really liked playing rounders as not only did it help us think about the risk assessment in more detail, but also helped us to develop our team working skills'.
