UKMT Senior Maths Challenge

On 1st October, our A-level Further Maths students sat the UK Maths Trust Senior Maths Challenge, a challenge with problems designed to make students think. UKTM is an organisation established to advance the education of children and young people in mathematics, aiming to do so by organising and running maths competitions.

The students achieved some fantastic results. Overall, 7 students achieved a Gold award, meaning they qualify for the Andrew Jobbings Senior Kangaroo. These are: Lucy Micallef, Logan Hart, Betting Cahilig, Will Hall, Elijah Luehrmann, Roderick Rankin-Skelly, and Oliver Basu. 19 students achieved a Silver award and 34 achieved a Bronze award, 22 students were awarded certificates of participation.

Lucy Micallif (L6) was awarded best in school, with a score of 96. Bettina Cahilig achieved the best score in upper sixth, with 89.

We're really proud of them all!
