On November 16, we were joined by staff from Notre Dame High School in Norwich. Deputy Head Jon Croucher, Lay Chaplain and Head of PSHEE Alex Savage, and Head of Sixth Form Julian McKay all spent the morning speaking to key college staff and touring our site.
The visit began with a Principal’s address from Justine Barlow, after which each visitor gained an insight into various areas of college life. These included student recruitment, careers support and the tutorial system, how we deliver our curriculum, and our enrichment programme.
The event was organised by our Assistant Principal Lucy Johnson, who said, ‘It was great to welcome our colleagues from Notre Dame Norwich and share ideas on how to ensure our student receive an outstanding education and experience whilst attending our institutions.’
Lucy received the following email from Notre Dame Norwich to thank staff and students for the welcome these visitors received.
‘Thank you to you and the whole team at ND Leeds for your warm welcome and hospitality. In many ways visiting ND schools is like being on home turf. The professionalism and ambition of staff is self-evident.
We talked all the way home about different things we had seen and how they might impact our work. It was definitely worth the journey! Not only that, but you managed to get some decent photos of us all - impressive.
As mentioned yesterday, forging some curriculum links would be really useful. Please don't hesitate to make contact should you need anything. Please pass on our thanks to everyone involved. ND Leeds really is a vibrant Catholic sixth form college.’
