Youth Speaks

Congratulations to a group of Notre Dame students who’ve been working with artist Casey Orr on a project exploring what youth culture means in Leeds.

As part of the 2023 Leeds Year of Culture, a pop-up hub has appeared on the ground floor of Leeds Trinity, hosting events, activities, exhibitions and merchandise.

Leeds-based American photographer Casey Orr has been conducting photoshoots in the hub, the results of which featured in July’s ‘Saturday Town’ exhibition, “an award-winning photographic portrait project exploring identity and self-expression through fashion and portraiture.”

Our students supported Casey with her photoshoots, and created a Youth Speaks zine, which was included in the exhibition. You can view this here. We are proud of the contribution they’ve made to exploring and celebrating a sense of culture in our local community.
